Discipline and Behavior at KinStar
KinStar
International Bilingual
School provides a warm
and safe environment for students.
Should a student engage in anti-social behaviors including bullying,
punching, slapping, kicking, scratching, biting, or pushing the school’s
response will be swift.
First Offense: No recess for the
rest of the day; no recess at all the following day. Parent contact and discussion of measures to
be taken.
Second Offense: No recess for
three days. Principal-parent meeting and
a suspension warning.
Third Offense: Student will be removed from school activities for the
remainder of the day and given a one day suspension—no appeal.
Additional offenses include disrespect or insolent behavior
toward faculty and staff, and running in the halls (for the danger it
poses). The same penalties apply.
For particularly grievous behaviors, consequences will be
left to the principal’s discretion including the immediate suspension of a
student.
KinStar has put in place a behavior and discipline
inventory and procedure. Please refer to
the attached documents to become familiar with how teachers will proceed with
behavior/discipline issues as they arise.
